I'm wondering, even if Nina did agree to give (sod Spoilers) Zonoya her crystal, how would she get her necklace off anyway? It doesn't appear to have any hinges or buckles, so it must be one sold ring...

However, that would also suggest it has magic on it which makes the collar bit grow as Nina gets bigger, so it doesn't choke her.

I never really liked things that did that on dragons...

I mean, if a Human wouldn't like it, would a dragon?

So, that's also a yes to the 'collar bit magically grows'.
